Tiger has a new home

Tiger officially has a new residence. A neighbor of ours down the street found him one day while he was out and about and was concerned so she called him over to her car. Well, he jumped right in... charming as ever. She obviously was concerned about him when she called us and told us that there are foxes in the neighborhood that eat cats. I told her the situation and said we were looking for a good home for him and asked her if she was interested. To my surprise, she said "yes". She came over to get his paperwork and to meet us, and we could tell he was going to a good home. She has two other cats, as well as two dogs, so obviously she is an animal lover.

It has been bitter sweet for me. There were so many times I caught him acting up and wanted to boot him to the curb. But it has still been hard to see him go since we've had him for 7 years.

We've taken a few walks the last few days and we look for him in the windows of his new house. So far, we haven't seen him.... so maybe that means he is enjoying himself and not longing for escape. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he sneaks out some day and wanders back over to us. We will probably see him again sometime in the future. It will be nice to say "hello".... and to say "goodbye". :-)
