Baby Gate

I installed a baby gate today at the top of the stairs in our house. Crazy early to be thinking about that, I know. However, I figure I will need to put one up eventually, so why not do it now when I have lots of free time on my hands, and can still move around easily? I hate asking Daniel to do projects like this on his free weekend, when I know that I am perfectly capable of doing it myself. Plus, my sister and niece (who will be 21months old) are visiting in May and it would be very useful to have the gate up when they visit. So, I installed it myself! I bought a gate, plus a kit to attach the gate to the stair post without drilling any holes into the post itself. Genius design! I love it and it works great!

It's STILL a girl!

We had our 18 week ultrasound today. Our little girl is still a girl! Yah! She is also still measuring ahead of schedule. Technically I am 17 weeks, 4 days; but she is measuring 18 weeks and 1 day. She is approximately 9oz... so a little more than half a pound, and a little bigger than what is average for her age. She was very camera shy today. She had her legs tucked in tight and her ankles crossed. She also kept turning her head away from the sonographer, and occasionally was even putting her hands on her face or on the sides of her face to block the shot. It was pretty cute. She was not super active... just moved her arms and legs a little but she wasn't bouncing all over the place. I still haven't felt any movements myself, but hopefully soon I will start feeling her moving around in there.

I've popped!

16 weeks today!

16 weeks. I still don't think I look pregnant. I just look like I gained 10 pounds in my midsection. LOL. This shirt I'm wearing used to be loose on me.

I put my few artistry skills to use and created some wall art for the nursery. :-)

I'm so glad it's Friday! I'm 15 weeks and 1 day now. Although I'm wearing maternity pants most days, I don't look pregnant. I think my whole midsection has gotten thicker.... resulting in my need for bigger pants.... but it doesn't look like a baby bump yet. :-(
